It went out on me in a weird spot, upper back, left side. Going to see our Athletic Trainer, hopefully he can pop it back where its supposed to go. 3 per 1 on dips sounds good.
Yep, on the cleans. Saw our Trainer, he checked me out and cranked on me a little bit. Said I sprained an intercostal muscle between my ribs in my back. Going to ice and take some pain reliever, and wash it down with a few frosty beverages. That should heal it up.
Goob, I live in Hutch and am in Wichita all the time. Would love a workout partner.
Bruce, let me know when I should not be adding weight or when I can add weight over prescribed workout, I am a bit of a heavier fella (205 lbs). Thanks man.
205# is a pretty common weight for X-fitters. These workouts are designed to test anyone's (small or large) work capacity. Always do the prescribed weight. At 205 you're probably going to excel at the barbell WODs, but I promise they will never be "too easy" if you're doing everything as Rx'd. If it was too easy, then you weren't moving fast enough.
Here's a great example: These are two World Class Olympic Lifters doing "Grace". They are strong as shit, but 135# (the prescribed weight) still hammers the big guy.

Back went out on me. Severe pain! Here's what I got done before I went down.
4 Sets done in 10:05:
135 Clean Squat
12 Bar Dips (I don't have Rings yet)
21 Sit ups
may be out for a couple of days.
Oh shit! Hope you're ok.
Oh, and for others who don't have rings, the sub is 3 bar dips per 1 ring dip.

I'm guessing it was on the hang cleans?

what's up Dusty? you ever come to Wichita anymore? we should WOD together sometime.
5 full rounds + 7 Hang Cleans. Spent most of my time at the barbell. Dips and situps were basically active rest for me.
